IMVU is a wonderful place to meet friends and new people from across the world and everywhere. There however is one problem with these chats and that is understanding them when you first join.



Many of us are puzzled at first but eventually after while we begin to understand the terms and abbreviatons used by the more older avatars. Here are just a few terms and abbreviations to help you on the journey of discovery in the world of IMVU:

AFK - Away From Keyboard

AVI - Avatar

HBU - How About you

HB - Hurry Back

HTFB - Hurry The F*ck Back

HRU - How Are You

LMAO - Laugh My Ass Off

LMFAO - Laugh My F*cking Ass Off

NOOB - Newbie / Beginner

POOF - This is usually said after someone leaves a room

TYT - Take your Time

TTYL - Talk To You Later

WB - Welcome Back

WTH - What The Hell

WTF - What The F*ck

WYD - What Are You Doing

YW - You're Welcome

YVW - You're Very Welcome
